I’m not a wedding photographer, but I’ve been privileged to photograph so many over the last 20 years. I keep them few and far between for a fresh perspective, and always feel so honored to be a part of what is often the most special celebration of a persons life. I love the heightened joy at a wedding. I love the crinkly smiles, tight hugs, welcome dinners, backlit fabric, and how tables look at the end of the night.
I have a truly documentary style approach and feel strongly about photographing moments that are genuine vs curated. You might be looking for a boisterous director who's really hands on with posing, and if so, we’re not quite the right fit. But if you're wanting candid photographs that feel like you could flip through them in an album you found in an old cedar chest, I'd be delighted to be a calming and friendly presence at your celebration.
