I’ve spent most of my career making photo and video sets feel like they are intimate naturally lit scenes of romance and effortless beauty. While I do love creating and curating that atmosphere for commercial productions, I’ve found myself wanting to capture more real moments in people’s lives. 

I’ve been privileged to photograph many weddings and events over the last 20 years. I’ve kept them few and far between for a fresh perspective, and always feel so honored to be a part of what is often the most special celebration of a person's life. I love the heightened joy at a wedding. I love the crinkly smiles, tight hugs, welcome dinners, backlit fabric, and how tables look at the end of the night.

I have a truly documentary style approach and feel strongly about photographing moments that are genuine vs curated. You might be looking for a boisterous director who's really hands on with posing, and if so, we’re not quite the right fit. But if you're wanting candid photographs that feel like you could flip through them in an album you found in an old cedar chest, I'd be delighted to be a calming and friendly presence beautifully documenting your celebration.
